  1. Rod, you need a private channel for pledges. I would be willing to contribute some $, but am unwilling to put an amount in a public web post. Or perhaps a PayPal account?

  2. James – I understand. I am not asking people to talk about amounts here or make any payments yet. I am simply trying to do a “sense of the audience” poll to see how many people might consider paying for something that others are getting for free. I do not want to set up a “pay wall” or hide my posts or audio programs from people; part of my plan for activism is to spread the word to as many people as possible.

    That does take some resources, however. I have been supporting the effort without asking for others to give money for a number of years, but that was made possible by holding a good job with a sufficient income to do the things that we like to do. I have now retired from that job with a nice, but insufficient pension to support our current living standards.
