Atomic energy technology, politics, and perceptions from a nuclear energy insider who served as a US nuclear submarine engineer officer

Pronuclear environmentalists present to 100 curious citizens in Walkerville, SA

June 11, 2012 By Rod Adams

I am running a little late this morning, so I do not have a new post for you. Instead, I would like to recommend that you spend a few minutes reading Walking the talk- pro-nuclear advocates stand together at Ben Heard’s Decarbonise SA.

It is an important report about an event where four pronuclear environmentalists gave presentations to a curious crowd of 100 citizens in Walkerville, South Australia. Not only were the presentations from four completely different perspectives – with each of the presenters coming to roughly the same conclusion about the importance of moving forward with nuclear energy – but the crowd stayed and chatted for quite some time after the presentations were completed.

The story reminded me that I need to ask for some samples from Coles Hill to add to my collection of visual aids for my own presentations.

Very difficult to access the Decarbonise SA website and same with Barry’s Bravenewclimate.

I think they are getting a DoS attack on their server.

Glad to see this, especially what Australia’s neighbor there; I can’t fathom what it is for New Zealand to be clucking that they’re “nuclear free”? Outside of bragging rights, exactly what does it prove being cheerful of denying yourself an option?
