Atomic energy technology, politics, and perceptions from a nuclear energy insider who served as a US nuclear submarine engineer officer

Inspiring way to start the day

August 29, 2006 By Rod Adams

This morning I was introduced to a site (American Daily) an author, (Paul Driessen) two organizations (MoveOff, LLC and Congress of Racial Equality – CORE) and a book (Eco- Imperialism – Green Power. Black Death.).

The introduction came by way of a commentary titled Nuclear to the rescue. (Go read that inspiring opinion piece now and then come back here!)

Nuclear to the rescue is one of those works that motivates me to continue pursuing my dream of building lots of moderately sized atomic powered generators and distributing them far and wide – wherever people (individuals and organizations like villages and businesses) need clean, controllable, reliable power.

Of course, I plan on having most customers pay for the output from those machines. The only sustainable way to make the idea work is via free market capitalism where customers choose to purchase the electrical product they desire from the supplier that best meets their needs for reliability, cost and environmental impact.

No matter what some “liberal” minded people think, most of the world’s people appreciate the benefits that come from clean running water and reliable, plentiful electricity. As Paul Driessen said in the first line of his article

“Electricity is the key to a healthier, more prosperous Third World.”

In fact, I think that he would agree that abundant electricity can make the concept of a “Third World” obsolete.
