NA-YGN interview with Jason Grumet – Chairman of Energy and Environment Committee Obama Campaign
Many of you are intensely interested in the energy policies that will be implemented following the US election. It is often much easier to hear 5-10 second sound bites and chants like “drill baby drill” than to find serious discussions about what the candidates and their staffs are really thinking.
On September 23, 2008, the North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NA-YGN) conducted a phone interview with Jason Grumet, Chairman of Energy and Environment Committee Obama Campaign. Though there is only one person asking questions, there were about 1,200 members on 94 separate phone lines listening in. That indicates the interest in this topic on the part of the members of NA-YGN, a proud group of professionals who want their technical passions to be more fully understood. (Note: Though I was already too old to qualify as a member when the organization formed, they have always been welcoming to the “mature” crowd.)
I think you will find it thought provoking. Rather than taint the discussion, I’ll let you read it first and then come back for any commentary.
BTW – I will be fair, but the group’s interview with the McCain campaign has been rescheduled for a date TBD.
