Atomic energy technology, politics, and perceptions from a nuclear energy insider who served as a US nuclear submarine engineer officer

Instapundit prescribes "nice, clean nuclear plants"

November 14, 2006 By Rod Adams

Glen Reynolds at Instapundit has an opinion on a lot of topics, but I really like what he had to say about nuclear power on 13 November. He was responding to a story about America’s need for rapidly expanding its electricity production capability. Here is is comment:

It seems to me that nice, clean nuclear plants are just what the doctor ordered, especially if you’re concerned with global warming.

That is a pretty good prescription for what ails us.

Thanks to Eric McErlain at NEI Nuclear Notes for the pointer. Eric and I participated in a panel discussion yesterday, even though Eric could not make it physically to Albuquerque. It was a bit weird to participate with his voice only during our session yesterday, but he did a great job explaining the importance of the blogosphere for communicating about nuclear energy.
