Australian Scientists Debate About Nuclear Energy
Barry Brook, who publishes the excellent Brave New Climate blog is also the Director of Climate Science at The Environment Institute, University of Adelaide. He was recently featured on an Australian Broadcast Company (ABC) – Stateline program discussion on the costs and benefits of nuclear energy as an eventual coal replacement. The program featured opposing views from David Noonan of the Australian Conservation Foundation who dismissed the pro-nuclear public activity of many leaders with long histories of involvement with conservation and environmental protection as coming from individuals, not any organized groups that represent “the environment movement.”
