Another potential convert who seeks more information
Timothy Hurst at Red, Green and Blue took notice of the Nuclear Energy Live debate on Green Options and was somewhat surprised by the final poll results that showed that 75% of the self selected audience of readers accepted nuclear power as a tool in the battle against global climate change. In his post titled, 75% of Greens OK with Nukes? he also described how he was of a generation that barely remembers TMI and Chernobyl except as reruns.
He declares himself to be a nuclear agnostic, but is open for more information:
With that said, I recognize that nuclear power must be part of “the discussion.” I just want to be sure that the discussion happens, and that it is thorough, and geographically specific. In other words, nuclear power will not be the answer everywhere.
I like people who have not closed their minds to new information. Let’s help share what we know so that Timothy can make an informed decision when the time comes.
