Nuclear primer published by Jamaica Gleaner News
My daily Google Alert that searches for pebble bed reactors came up with a well written primer on conventional and advanced nuclear power plants this morning. The article was written by Vallana Hill and is titled How Nuclear Plants Work.
It is encouraging to see articles like this one appearing in places like Jamaica, where there is a natural market for a zero emission power system with a low requirement for a fuel infrastructure. Traditional large nuclear plants would not fit into the island’s grid, but the Pebble Bed Modular Reactor (PBMR) might be a good choice.
Of course it is now time for a shameless plug – another good choice would be distributed installations of Adams EnginesTM.
