Atomic energy technology, politics, and perceptions from a nuclear energy insider who served as a US nuclear submarine engineer officer

Nuclear fuel recycling discussion with NNadir on The Atomic Show Podcast

September 17, 2008 By Rod Adams

The Nuclear Fuel Recycling Discussion in South Carolina broke an all time record for the number of comments received on an Atomic Insights post. I got so interested in the discussion that I invited one of my favorite bloggers – NNadir from Daily Kos – on to The Atomic Show Podcast to discuss some of his professional interest in the valuable materials that could be extracted from used nuclear fuel.

You can hear our discussion by visiting The Atomic Show #106 – NNadir discusses ruthenium, rhodium, palladium plus other valuable “nuclear wastes”.

If you were one of the people who commented in opposition to the idea of recycling used nuclear fuel materials, I hope that you will take the time to download and listen to the discussion. There is so much information in the world; it seems a shame to simply keep repeating 30 year old talking points instead of listening and perhaps learning something new.
