Making an Excellent Point With Humor – Wind Power is Analogous to Snake Oil.
Though I have enjoyed many hours of wind driven propulsion over the years, I am no fan of industrial scale wind power development. I am actually rather grouchy about the success that its promoters have had in obfuscating the challenge of providing useful, reliable energy that minimizes the impact on the natural environment. Of course, grouchy does not work as a persuasive mechanism for many people; that is why editorial and political cartoons have always had a place in the public discussion of serious issues.
A friend shared a link to an amusing site with dozens of pointed cartoons poking fun at the purveyors of massive wind turbine projects, who also happen to be collectors of massive federal subsidies and state driven “green” energy credits. Please visit Windtoons.com for a good laugh along with a tear or two for all of the vistas that will be lost if the madness continues much longer.
