Fission is the new Fire
On April 16, 2007, I had the privilege of giving a Tech Talk at the Googleplex in Mountain View California. The title of my talk was Fission is the New Fire. I think that the talk came out pretty well, though I was apparently more nervous than I would have thought I would be.
I guess it was the challenge of having a crowd where I knew there would be tough questions from people that I respect for their questioning attitude.
This talk has already undergone some refinements since I gave it based on some of the feedback that I got. I would appreciate any comments that you have – my intention is to continue to improve it and give again in similar venues. It is something that people need to understand, especially in a world constrained by fossil fuel resources and by the environmental effects of continuing to produce massive quantities of uncontrolled combustion waste products.
