In a lengthy interview, Gyle Konotopet of Ontario Business Edge uncovers Duncan Hawthorne’s long term goal. Mr. Hawthorne, the CEO of Bruce Power, and son of a Glasgow shipyard electrician wants to be the first to build a new nuclear plant in North America in a several decades. The interview discusses his long history in the energy business, the reasons that he is so excited by his current job, and the family history that he credits for his competitive nature.

The interview was published on 10 November 2005 in the on line edition of Business Edge – Ontario Business News with an Edge – and is titled CEO energized to rebuild nuclear trust. Well worth reading!
