Atomic energy technology, politics, and perceptions from a nuclear energy insider who served as a US nuclear submarine engineer officer

Fission is the new Fire – PDF of presentation slides

April 30, 2007 By Rod Adams

I appreciate all of the positive comments that people provided about the talk I gave at Google titled Fission is the New Fire. I also appreciate all of the constructive criticism and heard clearly the requests for a more readable copy of the presentation slides that I used in the talk. Taking video pictures of a power point presentation from a slight off angle does not provide the best resolution or quality.

For those of you who are interested, here is a link to the presentation slides in a compressed Adobe PDF format. I did the compression because the original slide show required about 16 MB, which makes it a bit cumbersome. The linked file below is an 8.8 MB file and the slides are just slightly fuzzy. Tradeoffs are always necessary. If you really need something that is more clear, please let me know via email to rod_adams(at symbol)atomicinsights.com.

It might also be of interest that I have made some refinements to the presentation and would be willing to discuss a visit to your group or company to share it with you. The email address above is the best place to start the conversation about that visit.
