Center for Strategic and International Study (CSIS) – Scaling Down Reactors: A Different Model for Nuclear Energy
Apparently, I was not paying enough attention to the world around me to realize that the Center for Strategic and International Study (CSIS) was hosting a meeting on the topic of scaling down reactors in the same town where I spend nearly every working day. Oh well, at least there is a multimedia record of the event that includes slides and audio.
For those people who participated in the discussion about the economy of scale, you might want to visit the site, listen to the talks and take a look through the presentation slides. Bottom line – I am not the only person that has recognized that there is sometimes a diseconomy of extreme scale.
Hat tip to NEI Nuclear Notes, which mentioned the meeting in its post that called last week in Washington Small Reactor Week.
