Another blogger for nuclear energy

In a tradition that I have not been good about following in recent months, I would like to point you to a new blog supporting the use of nuclear energy – TalkNuclear. Here is a quote from the “About” page of that blog:

This blog is operated and maintained by the Canadian Nuclear Association.
The Canadian Nuclear Association (CNA) is a non-profit organization established in 1960 to represent the nuclear industry in Canada and promote the development and growth of nuclear technologies for peaceful purposes.
The Canadian Nuclear Association was established to:

  • create and foster a political environment and reasonable regulatory framework for advancing the nuclear industry in Canada;
  • encourage co-operation between various industries, utilities, educational institutions, government departments and agencies, and other authoritative bodies which have a common interest in the development of economic uses for nuclear power and radioisotopes;
  • provide a forum for the discussion and resolution of problems of concern to members, to industry, or to the Canadian public;
  • encourage co-operation with other associations with similar objectives and purposes.

It is good to have another voice explaining why industry that is based on taking advantage of the natural advantages inherent in nuclear technologies is a positive force in our society.
